immediate, 6 month contract opportunity, as a Publishing Data Coordinator within the Entertainment & Music industry to join our client, OnSite, at their office in New York, NY
- $25/hr. max hourly rate
- 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, OT as necessary
- Advanced Excel skills required; SQL, Snowflake, Looker, or similar data/reporting experience strongly preferred.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Due to the client-site nature of this role, we are unable to support OPT or STEM OPT employment, including completion of Form I-983
What You Will Be Doing
- Review, vet, and quality check client catalogs and metadata.
- Support weekly processing of over 1,000 newly released recordings through HFA licensing workflows.
- Conduct publishing ownership research and coordinate with internal teams to maintain operational processes.
- Build and maintain operational reports using Microsoft Office, SQL/Snowflake, and Looker.
- Serve as the first point of contact for routine inquiries from internal labels, external partners, publishers, songwriters, and collection societies.
- Assist with communication and education around mechanical licensing processes.
- Coordinate work assignments and quality review for Straive research resources.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, and reporting.
- Experience working with SQL, Snowflake, or other database/querying tools.
- Ability to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot large datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, or operational metrics using business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of business experience in accounting or financial analysis role (entertainment / music industry experience a plus, with an interest in music being ideal) and working knowledge of GAAP
- 2+ years relevant experience preparing invoices
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
- Heavy Excel based position, advanced Excel skills are a must
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Looker, or similar reporting tools preferred.
- Ability to review and validate large volumes of metadata and operational data.
- Proficiency with other MS applications
- Well organized, detail oriented and proactive with ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and priorities, meet deadlines and achieve effective results in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Person should be proactive, well organized, detail oriented and creative thinker that is comfortable with autonomy and self-learning
- SAP experience preferred
