Business Valuation Docking (Computers) Endpoint Management Inventory Management Microsoft Windows 10 Information Technology Full Stack Development Service-Level Agreement Artificial Intelligence Network Troubleshooting Business Transformation Virtual Private Networks (VPN) Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) Microsoft Intune (Mobile Device Management Software), The Desktop Support Technician I provides frontline technical support for end users in a Windows-based enterprise environment. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop and laptop computers, peripheral devices, and standard business applications. The technician serves as a key point of contact for IT-related issues, delivering excellent customer service while resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems in a timely manner., * Provide Tier 1 desktop support for Windows-based workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.

  • Respond to and resolve service requests and incidents through the organization's ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and standard business software.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues involving desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with workstation setup, deployment, imaging, and equipment replacement activities.
  • Perform user account administration tasks, including password resets, account unlocks, and basic Active Directory support.
  • Support remote and onsite users with technical issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and email.
  • Configure and deploy new employee workstations and technology equipment.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to Tier 2 or specialized support teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and asset information.
  • Assist with inventory management and tracking of IT equipment.
  • Support office moves, equipment installations, and workstation relocations.
  • Follow established service desk procedures, security policies, and service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

CompTIA A+ Communication Microsoft 365 Prioritization Problem Solving Desktop Support Customer Service Computer Science Active Directory Technical Issues Security Policies Microsoft Outlook Technical Support Help Desk Support Microsoft Windows Account Management, * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, IT Support, or a related technical role.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and password administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment., * Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or Autopilot.
  • Experience in a corporate or enterprise Windows environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Benefits & conditions

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
