Job description
This position is for an integration engineer who will be responsible for integrating lab test suites within a development lab environment. The role involves assisting software development personnel with issue investigation and resolution, developing configurations for testing and system prototypes, and representing the integration team. The work is performed without appreciable direction and is reviewed from a long-term perspective., * Integrate lab test suites in a development lab.
- Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues.
- Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems.
- Create and modify scripts to perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data.
- Troubleshoot test and prototype issues, developing procedures and work-around documents.
- Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents.
- Automate scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts.
Requirements
Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense --Top Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment., Experience: An advanced degree and 3+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent relevant experience. Other degrees will be considered with strong software testing, engineering, or integration experience. Experience as a software tester or integrator is required.
Technical Skills: The following skills are required for this role:
- Hands-on experience with integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools.
- Proficiency in Linux and scripting (bash, python).
- Understanding of automation and implementation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting methods.
- Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.
- Experience in the integration of system components within a test environment.
- Familiarity with virtualized systems and security design and implementation.
- Proven experience with Ansible or other automation tools.
Certifications: IAT - Level II certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing scripts in Ansible.
- Knowledge of containerized virtual environments.
- Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases.
- Additional script experience is a plus.
