Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Administrator to lead the management and optimization of our organization's information technology infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining system stability, ensuring security protocols are followed, and implementing innovative solutions to support business growth. Your expertise will drive seamless system operations, enhance performance, and safeguard our digital assets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a resilient, scalable IT environment., * Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Manage Active Directory environments for user account provisioning, access control, and group policy administration.
  • Implement and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python or similar tools to streamline routine tasks like system updates, backups, and monitoring.
  • Administer databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server; perform tuning, backups, recovery procedures, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain system architecture documentation, perform capacity planning, load balancing, and performance tuning for various systems.
  • Manage network security components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS configurations, DHCP services, and information security protocols to protect organizational data.
  • Support software implementation projects involving Pegasystems solutions or other enterprise applications; ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Conduct system troubleshooting across hardware (RAID controllers), operating systems (Windows Server/Linux), and applications to resolve issues swiftly.
  • Collaborate within an Agile environment utilizing DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in system administration with a focus on Windows Server administration, Linux/UNIX environments, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including RAID controllers, load balancing solutions, DNS/DHCP management, firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or JavaScript for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for hybrid cloud solutions; understanding of RESTful APIs for integration purposes.
  • Expertise in database management including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL or T-SQL; experience with database performance tuning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), microservices architecture, containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to support systems & applications support efforts across diverse teams; ability to document procedures clearly.
