Job description
Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer supporting our Advanced Tactical Missions Business Unit (BU) to support a program out of our location.
Performs system engineering, integration, verification and validation, for total systems. Work is performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical and schedule constraints. Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance. Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel as required.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Proven experience with ground systems engineering, systems integrator or software engineer

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Experience with ICD development/maintenance, requirements development/change,

Creating and maintaining verification descriptions/Acceptance criteria

Ability to collaborate across multi-functional teams

Experience using Jira/confluence to collaborate regarding tasking and work instructions inside a team

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

Experience using DOORs and/or Cameo for requirements management

Experience across a system lifecycle

Experience with ground communications systems

Experience supporting software requirements derivation.
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
