Job description
As the IT Functional Engineer- D365 Finance, you'll serve as the functional owner of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams. You'll lead projects from intake through implementation, driving automation and AI-enabled process improvements to ensure the organization gets the most value from its financial technology ecosystem. Position Responsibilities:
- Own the functional design, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Banking, and related third-party applications
- Lead finance system projects from requirements through implementation, translating business needs into scalable configurations while prioritizing standard functionality over customization
- Configure financial applications, workflows, posting profiles, financial dimensions, integrations, APIs, and reporting structures to support a multi-entity environment
- Drive automation and AI initiatives by leveraging Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Azure services, and other technologies to improve financial processes and reporting
- Lead functional testing, support system releases, troubleshoot complex issues, and identify continuous improvement opportunities that enhance system performance and user experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certifications preferred
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (or AX2012 Finance modules); manufacturing or process industries experience preferred
- Proven experience leading end-to-end ERP implementations, major system enhancements, or finance system transformations
- Strong understanding of financial business processes (O2C, P2P, and R2R), accounting principles, and financial controls
- Experience with financial system integrations (APIs, OData, SFTP, JSON/XML, BAI2, CAMT, ISO20022) and Microsoft technologies including Power Platform or Azure, * Bachelor's (Required)

- Microsoft D365 Finance (or AX2012 Finance modules): 5 years (Required)
- end-to-end ERP implementation and systems ehancement: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification (Preferred)
