Job description

As our Sr IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure and facility operations at our Columbia, MD site and across all US-based AutoChem employees. Reporting to the Area IT Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for end-user support, coordinating with Corporate IT, local management, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth IT and facility operations. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, telephones, conference room technology, and related equipment.
  • Receive, document, track, and update incidents and service requests through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex infrastructure, security, networking, server, application, or architectural issues to higher-level support teams.
  • Install approved software, operating system updates, and standard hardware according to documented company standards.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, asset management, equipment deployment, and equipment replacement activities.
  • Support routine backup verification, equipment moves, and workstation setups.
  • Oversee daily maintenance and operations of leased building.
  • Monitor and manage building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security.
  • Manage vendor relationships for building repairs and other contracted services.
  • Assist in space planning and office moves within the leased building, as well as preparation for on-site events (Town Halls, Large On-Site Meetings, etc.)

To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring any employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This includes CPT, OPT, F-1, J-1, H-1B, or any other employment-based visa.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology, Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Information Technology field
  • Microsoft certifications and other relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with end users and IT personnel in a distributed environment with experience serving remote business locations and field personnel
  • Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Must have availability for after-hours and weekend support as necessary
