Job description

A leader in automation and cutting-edge technology in Reading, MA is hiring a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer. As a BI Engineer, you will play a key role in developing scalable data solutions and analytics frameworks to support robotics innovation and operational excellence. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role working with large datasets and building data models, dashboards, and reporting systems that drive business decisions., In this position, you will partner with cross-functional teams to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems. You will design and implement robust ETL pipelines, create dashboards and visualizations in tools such as Tableau or QuickSight, and automate reporting processes to enable data-driven decision-making across engineering, operations, and leadership teams. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with product owners to translate business needs into analytical requirements, maintaining data documentation, and continuously identifying opportunities for improved analytics and reporting., * Design and develop ETL pipelines to collect and transform structured and unstructured data

  • Build and maintain dashboards and analytical visualizations for business and engineering stakeholders
  • Write advanced SQL queries and perform ad hoc data analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to automate reporting and analytics workflows
  • Identify key metrics, monitor data quality, and generate insights to inform strategy
  • Support data governance and documentation for analytics solutions

Requirements

  • Experience designing and building scalable BI solutions and automated dashboards
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Solid Python, R, or similar scripting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an industrial, logistics, robotics, or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with AWS data and analytics platforms (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena)
  • Data modeling and statistical analysis experience
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics), Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future
