Job Description This position is a new role that is needed because the company is growing. They need a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a systems administrator/engineer. The client needs a plug in option, someone well rounded("Master of some"). The client needs someone who is technically deep, comfortable calling vendors, a problem solver and service oriented and collaborative. They will work 5 days on site and be on-call for any network issues. This cannot be someone trying to "punch-up" from a helpdesk position, they are also not going to be pushing anyone to management. We really need someone strong in enterprise computer networking with some secondary system admin experience. Cisco enterprise networking and Check Point Firewall are preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of two mid-level or higher certifications from one or more of the below certification bodies: Preferred: Cisco Juniper Palo Alto Check Point CompTIA ("+" certs are considered entry-level) Also considered: VMWare Microsoft Amazon NetApp EMC/Dell SANS ISC2 EC Council We do not consider Fortinet, HP, or Cisco Meraki "enterprise networking" so candidates with experience only in those solutions will have a hard time impressing us. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, or IGRP/EIGRP), telecommunications circuits, TCP/IP, NAT, OSI topology, IP telephony (SIP, WebRTC), AAA/TACACS+, RADIUS, DNS, subnetting (CIDR, VLAN/PVLAN), port aggregation, wireless networking (protocols, autonomomesh, security standards), ACLs, QoS, SDWAN, policy based routing, zone based firewall, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Moderate system administration experience required with Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory, transactional SQL DBMS, SAN/NAS, and MS Exchange Server (2010+). Candidates with the necessary experience must be able to naturally and comfortably discuss their experience and knowledge in these technologies at a deep technical level without the knowledge aids. The interview will be with Ray Howard and Vaughn Book. Ray is very proud of his knowledge and will essentially duel with the candidate with regard to the systems they work on. These people must reside close(40 miles) to the office in Rancho Cucamonga.
