Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Scrum Master in San Antonio, TX (Onsite Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)., * Technical Scrum Master will serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Leverage technical knowledge to engage in architecture, APIs, data flows, and system dependencies
  • Partner with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and ensure stories are technically clear and actionable
  • Ensure stories are technically actionable and support delivery predictability
  • As a Technical Scrum Master, you will promote CI/CD, test automation, clean code, and engineering best practices
  • Track and improve team performance metrics (velocity, quality, predictability)
  • Support cross-team planning and production readiness

Requirements

A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Technical Scrum Master to support Agile delivery across application development teams. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software engineering, DevOps, or data background who can guide Agile practices while actively engaging in technical discussions. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of Agile, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, architects, and product owners., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Lead in technical teams
  • Background in app dev, DevOps, or data engineering
  • Familiarity with Java, APIs, microservices, databases, or cloud platforms
  • Strong grasp of Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and DevOps tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CSM, PSM, or similar Agile certification
  • Experience in financial services or investment management
  • Experience with hybrid or distributed teams
  • Understanding of compliance, security, and governance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
