Job description

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation., * Drive project development activities that meet all project requirements

  • Critical KPIs of time, cost, quality, and performance targets, utilizing the Whirlpool Product Development process.
  • Work with key stakeholders (Design, Marketing, Manufacturing,...) and globally distributed teams in defining the release schedule, ensuring all proper sign-offs are in place to deliver our consumers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of product development experience from concept to design release

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical or manufacturing engineering
  • Familiarity with CAD software and data analysis tools (SAP, Google Sheets, Smartsheets, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Knowledge of DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, construction reviews, requirements management, OpEx tools and methodologies.
  • knowledge of Metal fabrication and welding process (Metal forming - laser & breaks, Welding - Mig and Spot / Resistance)
  • Systems Engineering knowledge - INCOSE ASEP or CSEP Certification
  • Experience facilitating effective communication across teams.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects
