Job description
We're seeking a strategic, impact-driven, and analytically strong leader to help scale Snap's Small & Mid-sized Clients (SMC) business. This person will uncover analytical insights from advertisers - their motivations, challenges, and growth opportunities - and turn those insights into data-driven actions that power smarter go-to-market (GTM) and sales strategies.
The ideal candidate combines analytical depth with storytelling ability - connecting complex data to insights that inspire action. They will lead a team of individual contributor BIE specialists, leveraging data science, AI, and automation to accelerate understanding and deliver scalable insights programs that inform growth, product, and sales decisions across Snap.
What You'll Do
- Lead the quantitative and qualitative analytical studies that inform Growth, GTM, and Sales initiatives.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of insights and analytical work, including segmentation, deep-dives, go-to-market studies, vertical insights, product-sales analysis, and advertiser ROI modeling.
- Develop analytical frameworks and dashboards to visualize performance drivers and guide decision-making across teams.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability, implementing rigorous quality control and best practices in data management and analysis.
- Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of analysts and researchers, setting clear goals, managing project load, and driving professional development.
- Partner cross-functionally with GTM, Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to turn insights into business actions and influence strategic direction.
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to accelerate data synthesis, trend detection, and insight delivery.
- Lead broader analyst task forces to address multi-vertical questions and identify market opportunities.
- Monitor competitive and market trends, identifying emerging opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
- Champion a culture of curiosity and innovation, fostering continuous learning and analytical excellence across the team.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of B2B advertising ecosystems, advertiser motivations, and growth drivers.
- Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and statistical methodologies, with the ability to interpret and translate complex data into clear business narratives.
- Strong grasp of market research, segmentation, and GTM frameworks.
- Proven ability to connect customer and competitive insights to business outcomes and sales impact.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with executive and commercial audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, fostering collaboration and development.
- Comfort with both strategic and hands-on analytical work - from data exploration to executive presentations.
- Familiarity with AI, automation, and machine learning tools to enhance insight generation and delivery.
- Deep understanding of advertising performance metrics and the broader digital ad ecosystem., * BS/BA degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in customer insights, analytics, or marketing strategy roles, ideally within B2B or digital advertising environments.
- 3+ years of people management experience, leading teams of analysts, BIE, or technical research analysts.
- Significant experience in data analysis using SQL and/or technical statistical methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA; degrees in analytics, engineering, mathematics, or economics preferred.
- Experience managing cross-functional analytics or insights teams in tech, media, or advertising.
- Proven ability to translate analytical findings into GTM or sales enablement strategies.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills across diverse stakeholders.

Benefits & conditions
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually.
Zone B (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually.
Zone C (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$292,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
