Job description

Concordant is seeking a Palo Alto Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure cloud infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud security professional with experience implementing Palo Alto security solutions within AWS and Azure environments.

The selected candidate will work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions. This position is focused on implementation, operations, and engineering-not software development., * Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure solutions within AWS and Azure environments.

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in cloud environments.
  • Administer Palo Alto Panorama, including device groups, templates, security policies, and centralized management.
  • Design and implement Zero Trust security controls and architectures.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP LTM and ASM solutions.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, networking, and security-related issues.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, auditing, and security controls to support regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Maintain documentation related to cloud security architecture, deployments, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in security reviews, infrastructure assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives., Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires regular onsite presence in Columbia, South Carolina.

Pay: $118,524.54 - $123,724.80 per year

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in network security and engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, scaling, troubleshooting, and optimizing Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Panorama administration, security policy management, threat prevention tuning, and log analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Zero Trust security architectures using Palo Alto technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining F5 BIG-IP LTM environments.
  • Experience designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure within AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of cloud security operations, architecture, and best practices.
  • Experience working with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, CMMC, CUI, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with F5 ASM, F5 XC, and iRules.
  • Experience with Prisma Cloud.
  • Experience with Cisco Umbrella.
  • Experience with Infoblox DDI.
  • Experience with Forescout.
  • Experience with OPSWAT MetaDefender/ICAP.
  • Experience supporting state or local government environments.
  • Experience with GlobalProtect in cloud environments.
  • Experience designing high-availability VPN and cloud traffic routing solutions.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; or 10+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Must possess at least one current Palo Alto, AWS, or Microsoft Azure certification.

Preferred certifications include:

  • Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect, * Bachelor's (Preferred), * network security/engineering: 10 years (Required)
  • Palo Alto VM Series Firewalls in AWS/Azure: 5 years (Required)
  • Palo Alto admin, security policy, logging: 1 year (Required)
