Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes using IBM DataStage and Snowflake.
- Build scalable, high-performance data pipelines supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
- Create and maintain Unix Shell scripts to automate data processing workflows.
- Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs using Control-M and Snowflake scheduling capabilities.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems while ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Optimize performance across Snowflake, DB2, and Netezza databases.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions for ETL and data integration processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing enhancements to the data platform.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage ETL development.
- Experience developing solutions within Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
- Proficiency with Unix and Shell scripting.
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M.
- Working knowledge of DB2 and Netezza databases.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Insurance industry experience is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or related role.
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Proven ability to work with large-scale, mission-critical data environments.
- Experience with production support, performance tuning, and data pipeline optimization.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
