Job description

We are seeking a Senior ETL Developer to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration solutions that enable the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset. You will collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to build high-quality data pipelines while following established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.

The ideal candidate is passionate about data engineering, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable, high-performing data solutions. Experience with modern cloud data platforms and ETL technologies is essential., * Translate business requirements and data mapping specifications into technical designs.

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ETL processes following coding standards and best practices.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, Python/PySpark, DataStage, and SQL.
  • Create and execute unit test plans and support system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues identified during testing and production support.
  • Collaborate with project teams to communicate progress, risks, issues, and blockers.
  • Support cloud migration and data modernization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, performance tuning, and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC, data governance, security, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military or professional experience).
  • 3+ years of ETL development experience within an enterprise data warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, DataStage, SQL, and Snowflake.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
  • Knowledge of cloud migration strategies and modern data platform architectures.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, data security, and secure software development practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, banking, insurance, or healthcare.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and data pipeline automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
