Job description
This field break/fix position provides a wide range of hardware support and related services. This ever-changing environment presents each technician with various daily events. This team is responsible for completely satisfied customers and helping to grow Tech Guy on the Go's business in a profitable manner. It is imperative that the Field Service Rep. understands the financial aspects and business impact of what they deliver.
Duties:
- Laptop and Printer warranty part replacement
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Provide technical support to end-users for IT-related problems
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and firewalls
- Perform routine repairs to Laptops, desktops.
- Printer support, Troubleshooting, Printers, Hardware, Printer repair
- Document and update IT procedures and processes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and team members
- Ability to analyze technical problems and provide efficient solutions
- Prior experience in IT support or a related role is preferred
- Familiarity with mobile devices (iOS, Android) is a plus
- Collaborate with team members to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
- Communicate with team to provide the best customer service and customer support possible
- Work independently on job site
Requirements:
- Laptop and Printer part replacement
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Reliable Transportation (Uber/Lift not acceptable)
- Personal Laptop available
- Able to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift and move
- Onsite customer facing experience.
- Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience.
- Demonstrated technical/mechanical aptitude for learning new technology.
Demonstrated core competencies of success in this position are:
- Strong mechanical aptitude, working with tools and various alignment apparatus.
- Alignment with customer's business needs while maintaining contractual commitments.
- Ability to logically and systemically technically/mechanically troubleshoot various hardware problems on all devices.
Requirements
Willingness to travel:
- 100% (Preferred)
- Travel to job site in area is required, * Strong interpersonal verbal/written skills; especially in person, on a customer site. This is critical to relationship building and expectations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to administrative responsibilities.
- Independent thinking while adhering to standard technological/mechanical and business procedures.
- Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate a technical situation while managing the operational challenges.
- Working independently and re-prioritization of tasks/events/commitments quickly based on contract, customer and business situations.
