Senior Software Engineer

We're building legal tech software that helps law firms create case documents from complex sources. Our products are built on an Express javascript, MongoDb, and React architecture.

Our legal tech creates life changing impact for plaintiffs by lowering the cost of litigation allowing firms to take on cases that would otherwise be dropped.

We are a remote first start up where you will quickly develop ownership over the products you develop and collaborate cross-functionally.

About the role

You'll help architect and build the next generation of legal software products at DemandPro.ai. This means working across backend systems, APIs, frontend, and LLM prompting systems that leverage police reports, images, medical records, maps, and much more.

You'll define feature implementations and quality control processes to shape what gets shipped. We value engineers who balance process oriented development with.

This position is remote (U.S.-based), with occasional travel for customer visits and team on-sites., * Translate product specifications into software.

• Expand our express JS APIs, backend data pipelines, React components, and hooks.
• Review code, test new features, and develop unit tests (vitest).
• Help shape engineering architecture, technical standards, and platform strategy.
• Write LLM prompting systems and improve LLM usage.
• Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar across the organization.

Expected skills:

• Strong experience with MongoDB or very similar.
• Strong experience with functional programming in javascript
• Experience building production-grade SaaS platforms and APIs.
• Experience with react

Nice to have:

• Experience building products with customer facing LLM results.
• Experience with docx package or other dynamic word doc manipulation.
• Hydrology background.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.
