System Integration Tester (GS4 - Payment Systems)

Our Client is a global leader in integrated technology solutions for payment systems and retail petroleum - spanning payment software, point-of-sale, retail fueling equipment (dispensers, pumps), and payment host connectivity.

This profile is a technical / architecture-leaning System Integration Tester - distinct from functional or API-level QA testing, which the existing team already covers.

POSITION PURPOSE

To independently own end-to-end system integration, non-functional, and resiliency testing of payment systems components at the GS4 stage gate - and to represent the technical position of the project directly with the customer.

• System testing and non-functional testing
• End-to-end, customer-focused testing
• Resiliency testing
• Technical architecture ownership and customer communication
• Competency in hardware environment setup/ debug with minimal dependency, 1. System Integration & System Testing
• Validate integration of multiple components at the GS4 stage gate
• Execute system-level and non-functional test coverage
• Ensure resiliency of the solution under failure and edge conditions

2. End-to-End & Customer-Focused Testing

• Design and run end-to-end scenarios that reflect real customer usage
• Confirm the solution is ready for customer promotion through the stage gate

3. Technical Architecture & Protocol Depth

• Explain current system architecture and design decisions in detail - not just the QA process around them
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the TCP protocol used for payment communications
• Investigate and resolve issues down to the protocol / architecture level

4. Ownership & Continuous Improvement

• Take increasing accountability for the project's technical delivery over time
• Build independent capability on terminal / hardware environment setup and TCP-level debugging (initial setup support provided)

This role sits at the GS4 stage gate, where multiple integrated components must be validated end-to-end before a solution can be promoted to the customer.

• Strong understanding of the TCP protocol (used for payment communications)
• Able to explain current project architecture and technical decisions in depth

• Retail - Fueling experience, e.g. dispensers, pumps, etc. (bonus)
• Working experience with payment hosts, in addition to payment software (bonus)
• Hardware / terminal setup and environment enrollment experience
