Job description

SAA is seeking an experienced IC4 Developer to lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of the technical infrastructure supporting the Live EHR Educator Program. This individual will play a critical role in developing secure authentication solutions, maintaining backend systems, and ensuring the long-term scalability, reliability, and sustainability of the platform.

The ideal candidate will combine strong software development expertise with healthcare technology experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions that support program growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement the CSSAP (Client-Side Secure Authentication Protocol) solution supporting the Live EHR Educator Program.

  • Serve as the primary technical owner for backend application development, authentication workflows, and system integrations.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable backend code supporting client authentication, user access management, and data entry processes.

  • Partner with business, education, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

  • Contribute to the overall data strategy by implementing best practices for security, data integrity, and operational efficiency.

  • Identify, assess, and resolve technical gaps, risks, and performance issues impacting program success.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, support processes, and development standards to ensure long-term maintainability.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define future enhancements and establish a long-term technology roadmap that supports program growth and sustainability.

This role provides both immediate and long-term organizational value by addressing current development needs while establishing a scalable technical foundation for future growth. The successful candidate will help ensure the continued reliability, security, and evolution of the Live EHR Educator Program while reducing technical debt and strengthening long-term support capabilities.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of relevant professional experience in software development, healthcare technology, or related technical disciplines.

  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or serving as a technical lead on cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, system architecture, and application lifecycle management.

  • Experience working within matrixed organizations and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with internal teams, customers, and external partners.

  • At least 3 years of Healthcare Information Technology (HCIT) experience, including consulting, support, implementation, application development, project management, or other client-facing healthcare technology work.

  • Additional relevant work experience and/or higher education directly related to the responsibilities of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • 3+ years of healthcare operations, clinical workflow, or healthcare technology experience.

  • 3+ years of facilitation, training, or stakeholder enablement experience.

  • 3+ years of data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence experience.

  • 6+ years of project or program management experience.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Experience working with secure authentication frameworks, healthcare data systems, and enterprise application integrations.

  • Prior experience supporting Oracle Health/Cerner environments preferred.

Benefits & conditions

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $83,000 to $166,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
