Job description
Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a System Administrator to support the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise Information Technology (IT) systems in a mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for managing Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments, supporting enterprise infrastructure, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems across the organization.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise IT systems and supporting infrastructure
- Administer Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations
- Manage the daily configuration, administration, and operation of enterprise servers, storage systems, network devices, and client environments
- Provide Tier 1 Help Desk and Tier 2 escalation support for hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure and system problems
- Monitor system health, availability, performance, and resource utilization across enterprise environments
- Perform system capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements to support operational growth
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system services
- Configure and maintain network components supporting enterprise IT operations
- Support hardware installations, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle replacement activities
- Assist users with access, system utilization, and technical support while ensuring timely issue resolution
- Communicate technical status, issue resolution progress, and recommendations to Government customers, management, and engineering teams
- Provide detailed analysis and documentation for escalated incidents and recurring technical issues
- Support incident response activities and remain engaged through issue resolution and system restoration
- Implement operating system enhancements and configuration improvements to increase system reliability, security, and performance
- Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related technical discipline

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs of similar scope, complexity, and mission requirements

Five (5) additional years of directly related System Administration experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree

Experience administering Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems in enterprise environments

Experience supporting enterprise servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and client infrastructure

Experience providing Tier 1 Help Desk support and Tier 2 escalation support for enterprise IT environments

Experience performing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for infrastructure and operating system issues

Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading operating systems and enterprise software

Experience monitoring system availability, performance, and capacity while optimizing resource utilization

Experience configuring and maintaining network components supporting enterprise IT systems

Knowledge of system administration best practices, operating system security, patch management, and infrastructure maintenance

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to users and stakeholders
