Job description
The Applications Developer designs, writes, and tests basic software under direct supervision. They primarily translate simple business needs into functional code, debug errors, and assist senior team members with application deployment and system maintenance., * Coding: Write and maintain clean, simple source code using programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Testing & Debugging: Assist in running unit and integration tests to identify errors, followed by making basic code fixes.
- Prototyping: Create basic design layouts or software prototypes based on provided specifications.
- Maintenance: Update and modify existing applications, patch bugs, and maintain technical documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Work with senior developers, UX designers, and project managers to understand basic app requirements., * Programming & Code Creation: Write, configure, and maintain code for software applications following specified design guidelines.
- Debugging & Testing: Participate in functional and non-functional testing. Execute test plans to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, workflow flowcharts, and system procedures.
- User Support: Perform routine corrections based on user feedback and provide end-user troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Assist higher-level developers and project managers by attending design meetings and requirements-gathering sessions, * Software Development & Integration: Write and maintain clean, scalable code for complex applications, APIs, and data integrations.
- Systems Analysis: Analyze user needs, define requirements, and create technical design specifications and architectural prototypes.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Design test plans, conduct unit testing, and perform debugging to ensure software performance and reliability.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex application errors, optimize system performance, and provide technical guidance to end-users.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, system manuals, and workflow diagrams., * Complex System Architecture: Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure software applications and back-end database schemas.
- Advanced Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in polyglot distributed environments (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or specialized frameworks).
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical subject matter expert and project lead. Guide cross-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce organizational coding and security standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose highly ambiguous and complex technical problems, install fixes, and correct performance bottlenecks.
- Integration & API Management: Design, build, and maintain complex API integrations, event-driven data flows, and cloud-native services.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Consult with business analysts, management, and end-users to translate functional business requirements into technical specifications.
- Documentation: Author comprehensive technical documentation, architecture blueprints, and system manuals, * System Architecture & Design: Lead the design, modification, and development of highly complex distributed applications, API integrations, and scalable database systems.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, direct, and oversee software development teams through the project lifecycle. Act as an escalation point for resolving extremely complex coding bugs and architectural roadblocks.
- Business Analysis: Work directly with senior stakeholders and business users to translate complex, evolving requirements into concrete technical and functional specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Lead the creation of robust functional and non-functional test plans. Define criteria for unit, integration, and security testing to ensure application stability and compliance.
- Standards & Compliance: Set, champion, and regularly revise the enterprise-wide guidelines for coding, security, and change management.
- Production Support: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve high-severity production issues in a timely manner. Evaluate the operating efficiency of software developed by third-party consultants and internal teams.
