This role primarilyinvolves the installation and decommissioning of network and cablinginfrastructure within a Data Center environment. A key aspect is the continuouspursuit of sustainable, repeatable, and improved solutions and processes. Theindividual is expected to provide leadership to crews and provide structuredfeedback on project progress to various stakeholders, ensuring high-qualityworkmanship, maintaining Data Center cleanliness, and adhering to allproduction, safety, and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.The role also requires collaboration with stakeholders to resolve projectobstacles and the ability to read and comprehend blueprints and buildingdocumentation. A broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologiesis essential.
What You will Do:
· Installation/decommissioningof network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
· Deliversustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
· Providestructured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
· Exhibitquality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
· Followall production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
· Collaboratewith various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
· Readingand comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
· Broadunderstanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
Requirements
· Knowledgeand use of basic telecom hand tools.
· Mustbe capable of leading a crew of 1-5 technicians.
· Mustunderstand customer service, perform job walks and communicate with customerfor job requirements.
· Acceptresponsibility of outcome of work performed by him/her and/or by employee thatdirectly report to him/her.
· Clearunderstanding of job safety requirements.
· Beable to read and understand job floor plan.
· Shouldbe familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing.
· Shouldbe able to pull all types of low voltage cables.
· Shouldunderstand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling.
· Capableof maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize to large projectsand service jobs.
· Possessskill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable andperform all types of terminations and should include basic understanding offiber equipment, all types of cable and fiber terminations.
· Basicunderstanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
· Capableof working in Data Centers.
· Shallbe able to work on analog, DSL, and be able to extend T1 lines.
· Beable to patch network equipment.
· Trackand submit timesheets for crew reporting, · Understandingmetrics/SLA's and able to track
· Knowledgeand understanding of network Handover
· Tracklessons learned as they occur
· Coordinateswith QAQC on quality status walks
· Knowledgeand understanding of Project Close Out
· Identifythe tech's strengths and weaknesses
