Job description

Under limited guidance, work at the business unit level developing the end-to-end solution architecture for significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Exposes current state architecture and identifies options for future state architecture.
  • Works closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns.
  • Develops plans for and facilitates the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives.
  • Mentor those in less senior positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Details

An AI Business Solution Architect is responsible for connecting business objectives to AI systems that are scalable, secure, and integrated across enterprise platforms. Unlike data scientists or software engineers, the architect focuses on the full lifecycle of AI solutions, including strategy, design, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization. They ensure AI solutions are reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals, often orchestrating complex systems such as multi-agent AI integrations.

  • Designing AI-powered business solutions that transform processes and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Establishing blueprints for data pipelines, model selection, training environments, deployment workflows, and integration with existing systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with responsible AI practices, data governance, and security protocols, including audit trails and access controls.
  • Leading technical and business discussions with stakeholders, including CxOs, to drive adoption and value realization.
  • Coaching teams and sharing best practices to accelerate AI transformation across the organization.
  • Expertise in agentic AI solutions, generative AI, and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Proficiency with Google AI tools.
  • Knowledge of open standards and protocols.
  • Strong leadership in implementing AI features in business applications and securing AI models and data workflows.
  • Ability to adopt frameworks and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with enterprise success metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.

Domicile

This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN or Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week., * Right to Work Notice (English) / (Spanish)
