Requirements
Must Have Skills/Attributes: ADO, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC
Experience Desired: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) planning, requirements, development, QA, change management, (8 yrs); Rapid/iterative delivery methods (8 yrs); Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) awareness (8 yrs); Test-driven development (TDD) practices (8 yrs)
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Skills (Must-Haves) Agile/SCRUM/Kanban/Lean: Intermediate to advanced understanding of basic software development methodologies. SDLC: Understanding of all facets of the software development life cycle (planning, requirements management, development, quality assurance, change management, release management). Continuous Integration/Testing: Exposure to or awareness of CI/CD, test-driven development practices, test automation, and related tools. ALM Tools: Azure DevOps (ADO) - specifically required. Iterative Delivery: Experience developing, testing, and deploying software using rapid, iterative delivery methods. Ability to balance workload between Scrum Master and Project Manager responsibilities. Experience developing and executing plans, roadmaps, and status reports. Strong formal meeting facilitation skills (including Agile meeting cadence). Ability to meet deadlines, coordinate timelines, and operate under tight constraints.
Soft Skills & Leadership: Advanced interpersonal skills - ability to establish strong working relationships across Business and Technology teams. Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to facilitate discussions, suggest alternative approaches, and resolve blocking challenges. Ability to build trust, provide transparency, and collaborate with PMO teams.
This is a highly visible project focused on building the strategic digital asset platform for Northern Trust. In addition to Scrum Master skills, the role requires at least a basic understanding of technology and technical architecture. The Scrum Master and Project Manager facilitates the planning, tracking, communication, and coordination of activities for an Agile project delivery team. This role requires solid practical experience and techniques in both Agile and project management.
