Job description

The IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer will work in the datacenter, and in coordination with the cybersecurity team. The successful candidate has gained some experience and is eager to learn more about how to manage server infrastructures and cybersecurity., * Design, install, configure, and maintain datacenter infrastructure for industrial and enterprise applications.

  • Monitor and maintain data center environments and operations, including server hardware, software, and associated infrastructure.
  • Ensure the quality of data backups and perform regular tests to ensure data consistency.
  • Responsible for server patching and OS updates. Manage IT and OT datacenter incidents.
  • Work with vendors and external support teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Process regular vulnerability scans and prepare a mitigation plan for server and network infrastructure.
  • Perform risk assessments for software and OT server infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure datacenter availability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Support the integration of OT systems and devices with IT server infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to end-users and junior staff on cybersecurity and related topics.
  • Support IT/OT audits and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Manage MDM compliance and related device configurations.
  • Respond to security breaches and support post-event analyses.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding change management and compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in datacenter administration or support roles, preferably in industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of server architecture and understanding of virtualization technologies and Windows operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of VMware and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing operations, production, and computer data collection systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data center issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Interest in all aspects of cybersecurity research and development.
  • Ability to work independently and without the need for supervision, as well as collaboratively within the team and across various IT groups and business units.
  • Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
