Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team at Global Partners. You are an analytics translator and champion for Global Partners. You embrace collaboration with all facets of Global Partners to identify the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decision making. You have worked with teams to serve as the domain expert pertaining to Data, Analytics, Technology and Testing.Your proficiency in SQL and familiarity with the contemporary analytics stack is a given. Whether you're deciphering vendor documentation to extract crucial data or integrating it with external systems, you have the knack to drive decisions based on incomplete data. By combining analysis, domain expertise, and a deep understanding of our business model, you'll craft decision-making frameworks that guide our team toward the most beneficial outcomes.In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics, * Scale Global Partner's ability to democratize data by leveraging a Modern Data Stack (Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, DataBricks, Census, Dagster, etc)

  • Design and maintain analysis and data systems, ensuring data accuracy and regular updates.
  • Generate insightful business reports, and utilize data tools to create pivot tables, graphs, charts and visualizations.
  • Own data visualizations and pipelines to identify and rectify inconsistencies; monitor for changes in performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with departments, engineers, and data scientists to align on data needs and strategies, ensuring the long-term efficiency and scalability of the Data Platform and Analytics Center of Excellence
  • Conceptualize and implement data architecture for projects, evaluating design and operational trade-offs.
  • Define data assets, data integrations, and quality frameworks; evaluate tools for data lineage and address data quality issues.
  • Work on business-critical data integration and reporting pipelines, optimizing ETL patterns and sourcing from diverse data sources.
  • Define and manage SLAs for datasets, ensuring data security and compliance based on privacy requirements.
  • Design and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations across products or domains.
  • Research new technologies, develop best practices, and deliver transformed, tested, and well-documented data sets for internal consumers.

  • 3-5+ years of SQL expertise (No-SQL is a plus), with a strong understanding of analytics-driven schema design and data modeling.
  • Some experience in Python, R or other Object-Oriented Programming language is a great accelerator.
  • Knowledge of common orchestration and automation tools such as Dagster or Airflow
  • Established skill in designing analytical data layers and ETL, to facilitate accurate and timely insights.
  • Mastery in crafting visual analytics reports using BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • 3+ years as an analytics engineer, with an educational background in computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics, finance, or related fields.
  • Strong communicator with a knack for extracting actionable insights, nurturing team relationships, and mentoring on analytics best practices.
  • Established experience in leveraging technical know-how to amplify data's analytical value, encompassing data modeling, access, and storage methodologies.
  • Ability to strategically align analytics initiatives with overarching product goals and highlight data-driven opportunities - embracing Data as a Product mentality.
  • Some experience with AWS/Cloud platforms, emphasizing analytics tooling and systems integration is a big plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree

Benefits & conditions

$118,300.00 - $177,400.00 The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
