Job description

As a Data Architect within PNC's Data and Automation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Strongsville-OH, Birmingham-AL, Dallas-TX, Denver-CO or Phoenix-AZ.

  • Administer and support enterprise Teradata database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability for critical business applications and data warehouse solutions.
  • Monitor database health, troubleshoot production incidents, optimize SQL performance, and resolve data and application issues to meet establish service level agreements (SLA).
  • Support ETL and batch processing by managing Teradata utilities, analyzing job failures, and collaborating with application development and infrastructure teams to ensure successful data processing
  • Implement database changes, manage user access and security, perform performance tuning, and maintain database objects in accordance with change management and operational best practices.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, automate routine administrative tasks leveraging AI agent, and provide technical guidance to enhance database performance and operational efficiency.

PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position., * Designs, develops and optimizes data warehouses, with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture, to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.

  • Analyzes business intelligence data and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration an application/business function.
  • Works with IT and business customers to capture requirements for designing the data warehouse architecture.
  • Provides support and technical guidance to ensure the solutions are aligned with the architecture and framework.
  • Leads and consults on the implementation and integration of data warehouses; ensures the solution meets organizational quality and integrity standards.
