Infrastructure Operations - DBA GOSP

• Install and configure database systems (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Set up database environments (development, test, production).
• Configure storage, memory, and network parameters.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Optimize queries and indexing strategies.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve database efficiency.
• Analyze slow-running queries and improve execution plans.

Backup & Recovery Management

• Design and maintain backup strategies.
• Perform regular backups (full, incremental, differential).
• Restore databases in case of failure or data loss.
• Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.

Security & Access Control

• Manage user roles and permissions.
• Implement security policies and encryption.
• Protect sensitive data and ensure compliance (e.g., GDPR).
• Diagnose database errors and failures.
• Resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
• Provide root cause analysis and preventive actions.

Automation & Scripting

• Write scripts for automation (backup, maintenance, deployment).
• Use tools like Bash or Python (sometimes VB Scripts).
• Improve efficiency by reducing manual tasks.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field., * Minimum 5-8 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL database management.
• Experience working in enterprise companies with large-scale infrastructure.

Languages

• Spanish: C1 level or native.
• English: B2 level required (daily communication and written interactions).

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Fluent in Unix-based operating systems, with a focus on Linux.
• Bash scripting is required.
• Experience with AWS platform, including: RDS Instances, EC2, S3 Buckets
