Job description
As a Medior OutSystems Developer at NovioQ, you are responsible for helping to translate client desires into workable applications. You translate the client needs into clear requirements and user stories during the preparation phase. Not only will you aid the client in sculpting their vision for the product, but you'll also ensure that this vision is consistently and effectively communicated throughout every phase of the development process.
During the development phase, you immerse yourself in both the frontend and backend of applications, with a substantial portion of your focus also dedicated to building integrations and working with REST APIs, SQL queries, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, you are entrusted with guiding less experienced developers in your team. This includes reviewing their work for bugs and other issues and providing corrective feedback or making necessary amendments to ensure the quality and consistency of the work.
In the delivery phase, the smooth transition of the app to the client is managed by you, providing assistance in its deployment to production and overseeing subsequent maintenance. You will maintain a watchful eye at every stage of the app's lifecycle, from its initial conception through to its ongoing support, ensuring a seamless and reliable delivery.
You will be based in the Dutch office in Nijmegen, becoming part of a multinational team that also collaborates closely with colleagues in the Portuguese office in Cascais. You will work either from the office or from home, adhering to a hybrid work model. It can occur that you are asked to join a workshop or another kick-off at the clients location together with the rest of the Development team.
If you like to work together to solve the problems that you come across in an everchanging online world, then this job is for you.

Firsthand experience
A client wants some changes to an application you created for their IT team. What do you do? First, you set up a meeting with everyone who needs to be there from the client's side. In this meeting, you listen carefully to understand exactly what changes the client wants in the application. You ask questions to make sure you get all the details right and understand their needs fully.
Then, using the agile method, you make the needed changes to the application and show the updated version to the client. You pay close attention to their feedback, making extra tweaks and adjustments as needed. This way, you ensure that the final version of the application perfectly matches what the client wants and needs, keeping them happy and satisfied., At NovioQ, we offer more than just a path to a Senior Developer. In our Nijmegen office, you're encouraged to dive into areas you love, like training, architecture, (pre-)sales, UI/UX, and more. Our workplace is all about engaging and supporting your growth, helping you build a career that fits you.
