Job description
SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be UK Nationals Only (No Dual Nationals) and able to be security cleared to a UK SC level., * Architect and Maintain Infrastructure: Design, provision, configure, and maintain the Linux systems and engineering hardware that underpin our development environment.
- Strategic Technical Guidance: Assist project teams during initiation and planning, capturing requirements and formulating technical strategies to ensure project success.
- Operational Excellence: Manage the end-to-end configuration and deployment of workstations and servers, ensuring they meet the specific needs of diverse engineering groups.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with business managers and IT teams to address technical challenges, ensuring that Linux technologies are effectively leveraged to deliver project solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Work closely with Security teams to ensure that all infrastructure solutions comply with internal regulatory and security policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure, participating in research and development to foster innovation.
Requirements
- Linux Administration: Demonstrable expertise in Linux systems administration, with a primary focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Orchestration & Automation: Proven experience in leveraging orchestration tools, such as Ansible, to streamline infrastructure management.
- Scripting Proficiency: Solid proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, BASH, PERL, or PowerShell) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Solution Development: Proven ability to independently develop and deploy scalable, robust solutions based on Linux systems., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
