Network & Cyber Security Engineer

• We will have you support the design and implementation of our network and cyber security infrastructure, including Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls and our hybrid Active Directory environment.
• We will have you use Microsoft 365 E5 licensing and security tooling, including Microsoft Defender, Purview, Compliance, and related technologies.
• You will be responsible for securing our clients on-site premises, services, and infrastructure.
• You will support our DevSecOps team by providing security guidance and helping integrate applications and security tooling across CI/CD pipelines.
• You will implement new security policies and maintain existing policies, standards, and documentation in line with relevant frameworks.
• You will lead vulnerability management from scanning and assessment through to remediation.
• You will own the security of our infrastructure and embed security thinking across every level of the company.
• You will help design and build our security function, including the frameworks, tooling, and processes that protect our systems, data, and employees.
• As our function develops, you may help build and lead a Cyber Security / Networking team.

• We require a British National under UK nationality law due to legal and security restrictions.
• We are looking for experience securing hybrid environments, including on-premises infrastructure and cloud services, particularly Microsoft 365.
• We need experience with Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls and enterprise network security architecture.
• We require in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft security tooling, including Defender, Purview, Compliance Centre, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune.
• We need previous exposure to virtualisation platforms, particularly VMware vSphere and/or virtual desktop infrastructure.
• We require experience using SIEM platforms and intrusion detection/prevention systems, including configuration, tuning, alerting, and threat response.
• We are looking for familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tooling.
• We require a solid understanding of security compliance frameworks including ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and GDPR.
• Exposure to SC-200, MS-500, Fortinet NSE 4, CISM, CISSP, CEH, or CREST would be a significant advantage.
• Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash, and exposure to Docker or Kubernetes would be beneficial.
