Job description

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping veterinary practices successfully transition to our software solutions. Based in our London office on a hybrid schedule (3 days per week in Wimbledon), you'll work at the intersection of customer onboarding, data engineering, and implementation, ensuring customer data is accurately and efficiently migrated into our platform.

ezyVet, part of the IDEXX Veterinary Software portfolio, is a cloud-based Veterinary Practice Management Software solution that helps veterinary practices save time, increase revenue, improve client communication, and reduce administrative burden. As our customer base continues to grow, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology, process improvement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Why this role matters

This role sits at the intersection of customer success and technology. You will help veterinary practices transition their critical information into our platform, enabling them to operate more efficiently and deliver better care to their patients. Your work will help ensure a seamless onboarding experience while supporting successful implementations and building trust with our customers from day one.

In this role:

  • You partner with implementation teams to manage and execute data conversion activities required for customer onboarding

  • You engage directly with customers to facilitate remote system access and obtain data required for migration

  • You act as a key link between customers, implementation teams, and data engineering teams throughout the onboarding process

  • You monitor conversion activities and independently prioritize, organize, and manage assigned tickets

  • You document completed work, track actions taken, and transition tickets efficiently while collaborating with the Scrum Master and broader team

  • You ensure project management tools and Jira remain synchronized to support the timely completion of onboarding and data-related tasks

  • You contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance onboarding efficiency and the customer experience

  • You develop and expand your technical expertise while working with customer data and migration processes

Requirements

  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and adapt in a technology-focused role

  • Previous development experience with solid database skills

  • The ability to interpret data models and understand database structures and relationships

  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills

  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • The ability to handle large volumes of sensitive customer data with accuracy and professionalism

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

  • Exposure to AWS cloud technologies

  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, PHP, or Python

  • Experience working with MySQL

  • Familiarity with collaboration and operational tools such as Jira, Grafana, Confluence, and Slack
