Job description

The Sr. Decision Support Analyst performs a variety of work pertaining to analytics, business plans, preparation of budgets and financial statements, monitoring budget variances, and preparation of ad hoc reports., * Coordinate preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.

  • Act as liaison between Finance and department managers for financial performance and budget variance reporting.
  • Develop reports, track and report metrics by practice.
  • Prepare management and executive level reports.
  • Coordinate with leadership to develop quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports relevant to performance tracking.
  • Partner with IT and leadership teams to develop performance dashboards
  • Maintain and monitor dashboards.
  • Support SVMD due diligence projects related to medical practice acquisitions including:
  • Gathering data from the practices and working with them to ensure the integrity of the data.
  • Develop detailed assessment reports on the practices on productivity, revenue, expenses, benchmarked against known industry standards.
  • Develop business plans for existing and new ventures, with an emphasis on data analysis and market viability.
  • Perform complex data extractions and calculations that culminate in the design/development of meaningful ad hoc analysis and/or reports.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, senior leaders and physicians/providers. Support a positive image of SVMD inside and outside the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 3-5 of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in finance, accounting or decision support/analysis in an ambulatory care/outpatient organization, medical foundation or medical group.
  • Solid understanding of decision support systems, cost accounting principles and financial systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio; experience with database programs and tools such as SQL, Access, Tableau and Slicer Dicer.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills; attention to details.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflow.
  • Strong verbal and written communications and active listening skills.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with staff, physicians/providers, internal and external partners, and other executives.
  • Solid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
  • Experience in a start-up organization preferred.

Location: Silicon Valley Medical Development · SVMD Admin Schedule: Full Time, Days, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
