Peraton requires a Network Administrator to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. This position is located at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end-user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Roles and Responsibilities: Monitors the LAN and WAN equipment and circuits utilizing Riverbed Event Manager.
- Performs initial triage and resolves or escalates technical problems for established networks.
- Serves as the technical specialist in network problems and emergencies; assists in troubleshooting and resolution of network production problems.
- Maintains network operations, expansion, and potential abuse through enterprise network intrusion detection system, firewalls, and VPN devices.
- Works with the Systems Engineer in network design analysis and configuration validation.
- Maintains documentation, which may include CMDB information, as-built drawings, circuit inventory, equipment inventory, configurations, and training materials.
- Performs project work as assigned by the Senior Team members.
- Accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
- Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems.
- Administers LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and spam control measures.
- Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot the network.
- Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of links.
- Documents and maintains network topologies.
- Resolves ticket requests, works to resolve incidents, and escalates to the Engineering team when required.
- Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues.
- Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.
Requirements
- Min 12 years with HS Diploma; 10 years with AS/AA; 8 years with BS/BA; or 6 years with a MS/MA.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
- CCNA Certification., * Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 441 - Network Operations Specialist - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
