You will work with real client environments, collaborate with experienced engineers, and gain exposure to systems, security, process improvement, and modern IT tools, including AI-assisted workflows.
What You'll DoHelp Desk and User Support
- Provide Tier 1 and light Tier 2 support for end users
- Triage, document, and resolve incoming support requests
- Troubleshoot common issues including:
- Password resets and MFA issues
- Email and Microsoft 365 support
- Windows and macOS workstation issues
- Printers, VPN, and basic network connectivity
- Communicate clearly with users, set expectations, and follow issues through to resolution
Systems and Administrative Support
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, access, licenses, devices)
- Perform basic Microsoft 365 administrative tasks under guidance
- Assist with patching, updates, and routine maintenance
- Support VoIP / PBX changes (adds, moves, changes)
- Follow documented SOPs and help improve them where gaps exist
Asset Management and Documentation
- Track and manage IT assets (laptops, phones, peripherals)
- Maintain accurate records in asset systems
- Keep documentation current in IT Glue or internal systems
- Help close gaps between assumed and actual system knowledge
Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify repetitive or inefficient tasks
- Assist with building or maintaining:
- SOPs and checklists
- AI-assisted workflows and tooling
- Comfortable adopting smarter, more efficient ways of working
Requirements
We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist / Help Desk Technician to support day-to-day IT operations in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. This role is a good fit for someone early in their IT career who already has some hands-on technical experience and wants to continue building skills across help desk support, Microsoft 365, workstation troubleshooting, basic systems administration, documentation, and client service.
This is not intended to be a first exposure to IT. The ideal candidate has prior professional, internship, homelab, school, or equivalent experience supporting users, devices, or business technology and is ready to learn, take ownership, and contribute in a client-facing environment., · Prior hands-on IT experience through a support role, internship, MSP, school program, homelab, or equivalent environment
· Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS
· Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (user support and/or light admin exposure)
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently after onboarding while knowing when to ask for help
· Comfortable following structured processes and helping improve them when gaps are found
· Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to local client sites as needed
Communication and Documentation Expectations
- Able to produce clear, professional written communication in tickets and emails
· Use professional grammar, spelling, capitalization, and tone
· Avoid excessive abbreviations, shorthand, or unclear notes
- All tickets and notes should be suitable for direct client visibility
Because this is an MSP role, tickets and documentation may be visible to clients and should be written clearly and professionally.

This is a client-facing role. Candidates must consistently demonstrate:
- Professional demeanor in written, verbal, and in-person interactions
- Respectful, calm communication - even under pressure
- Appropriate behavior when representing the company onsite or remotely

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:
- Microsoft & Azure environments
- Windows 11
- Networking hardware (Ruckus, Cisco)
- Security tools (SonicWall, Huntress)
- MSP tools such as ConnectWise
- End-user hardware (HP, Dell)

Compensation and Benefits
· $40,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience
· Full-time hourly position, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
