Job description
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to join our Information Systems team and play a key role in delivering exceptional end-user support. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth daily operations by supporting desktop computers, applications, and related technologies within established organizational standards., * Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance
- Manage and prioritize the IT support ticket queue
- Install, configure, and test computer systems, software, and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring technical issues with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with users and IT colleagues to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Document support activities and maintain records of configurations, issues, and solutions
- Uphold IT policies and ensure adherence to security and operational procedures
Requirements
- One to three years of IS systems support experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to assist with resolutions to issues and problems.
- Must be able to apply a high level of understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions
