Job description

Place Services, Inc. (PSI) has an immediate need for an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Woodstock, GA. The IT Support Specialist provides technical support and customer service to employees across office and field operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, mobile devices, printers, and business applications while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The IT Support Specialist serves as a key point of contact for technology issues and assists with IT projects, equipment deployments, onboarding, and security initiatives. The role combines traditional help desk support with hands-on support for construction and field-based technology needs. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Respond to and resolve support tickets within established service levels.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Assist with support for enterprise applications (Procore, Fieldwire, Acumatica).
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows computers and mobile devices.
  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including account provisioning and equipment setup.
  • Support conference room technology, Teams Rooms, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of IT hardware, software licenses, and technology assets.
  • Coordinate warranty repairs and vendor support activities.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting involving switches, wireless access points, VPN connectivity, and internet services.
  • Support field personnel with tablets, mobile phones, and construction software applications.
  • Document solutions, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives including MFA, endpoint protection, and security awareness programs.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance and occasional on-call support as needed.
  • Assist with special IT projects and technology rollouts.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the IT Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of IT support or help desk experience.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with computer imaging and hardware deployment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites as needed., * Experience supporting construction, engineering, or field-service organizations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Freshserivce, Freshworks, or ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience supporting Teams Calling and VoIP systems.
  • Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work under desks, in wiring closets, and in construction environments when necessary.
  • Ability to travel between office locations and job sites.
