Job description
The Senior Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting The Lighting Groups enterprise data platform and reporting landscape. This role will establish modern data architectures, build robust data pipelines, and deliver insightful reporting and dashboards that enable data driven decision making across The Lighting Group's global automotive manufacturing operations., * Enable and support a scalable data platform to support analytics, reporting, and data driven decision making across The Lighting Group.
- Contribute to building and maintaining The Lighting Group's data warehouse and data lake solutions, leveraging modern principles such as medallion architecture.
- Develop and manage data pipelines and integration flows, ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance.
- Develop reusable semantic models, star schemas, and subject-area data sets (e.g., Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial) to support both standardized reporting and self-service analytics.
- Define and maintain business logic, calculation rules, KPIs, and metrics within the data platform to ensure consistency of reporting across functions and regions.
· Implement robust data validation and reconciliation routines to ensure that aggregated data aligns with source systems, supporting finance close, operational reporting, and management dashboards.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and self-service data models in Power BI for key functions, including Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial.
- Collaborate with business and functional stakeholders to translate reporting needs into detailed data transformation requirements, including data mapping, enrichment, and harmonization across entities and plants.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager - ERP, Applications and Data and the Sr Applications Analyst to ensure consistent, trusted data across systems.
- Implement and enforce data standards, definitions, and best practices for data management and reporting.
- Serve as the primary administrator for the data platform, including monitoring performance, security, and cost of data solutions, optimizing architecture and design as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to power users and analysts across the organization using Power BI and other analytics tools.
- Create and manage automated workflows to streamline business processes and enhance productivity, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform
Requirements
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform management, or business intelligence roles.
- Strong experience with Azure based data technologies such as Azure Fabric and/or Databricks.
- Experience implementing data models and working with various data sources, including SharePoint, Office 365, SQL Server, and other on-premises and cloud-based systems
- Hands-on expertise in data warehouse design and implementation, including medallion architecture concepts.
- Proven experience building and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Solid understanding of ETL and ELT processes, data integration, and data quality management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, and governance considerations for enterprise data platforms.

Desired Skills
- Experience in data and reporting within manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Knowledge of integrating ERP and SaaS source systems (for example SAP S/4HANA, Infor Trans4M, OneStream, Kyriba, Dayforce) into data platforms.
- Experience implementing or contributing to data governance frameworks and data catalogs.
- Strong SQL and scripting skills, with exposure to Python or similar languages for data engineering tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector, ideally within a multi-plant, multi-country footprint.
- Knowledge of Azure-based data platforms (such as Azure Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks) and modern integration architectures (APIs, iPaaS, and similar).
- Familiarity with corporate performance management and treasury tools such as OneStream and Kyriba.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into practical technology roadmaps.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including at executive level.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast moving, global, and matrixed environment.
