Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the information technology systems and infrastructure within an organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the company's technology resources, aligning IT strategies with business objectives, and leading a team of IT professionals. The IT Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions that support the organization's needs and drive productivity and innovation, * Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business goals.

  • Identify technology trends and advancements relevant to the organization's industry and propose innovative solutions to improve operations and competitive advantage.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and telecommunications.
  • Ensure that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet current and future business needs.
  • Manage and support critical systems and applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure systems are optimized, updated, and backed up regularly to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and implement robust security measures to protect the organization's data and systems from internal and external threats.
  • Establish and enforce security policies and procedures, conduct regular audits, and provide security awareness training to staff.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Assist the IT Director with budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Assist the IT Director with developing and managing the IT budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Provide recommendations on technology investments and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with IT Team Members, manage risks, and communicate project progress to relevant parties.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to IT governance, data protection, and privacy.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance users' technical skills and knowledge.
  • Assist the IT Director with Development and implementation plans for disaster recovery and business continuity to mitigate risks and minimize downtime in the event of a system failure or catastrophic event.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of information technology, staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
  • All other departmental duties assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years' management/supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in I.T. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years' experience in hardware upgrade, maintenance, and repair of computer equipment, not limited to PC computers.
  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Specific duties and responsibilities of an IT Manager may vary depending on the organization's size, industry, and IT infrastructure.
  • Must be able to retain a valid California Driver License.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission., * Repeatedly required use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Environment is in an office setting with occasional visits to the casino floor.
  • Noise level is moderate to high on the casino floor.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
