Job description
We're hiring a developer to join our technical team and help own the reliability and accuracy of our third-party TAMP ecosystem. You'll work closely with the COO and our current technical lead to maintain and improve data integrations, strengthen data quality and audit processes, and build internal tools that make the business run more smoothly. You will also have the potential to work on client-facing outputs like standard/custom reporting and web portals.
This role is a good fit if you like:
- Solving real business problems with software/scripts
- Working with financial data (custodial feeds, security reference data, corporate actions)
- Debugging ambiguous issues across vendor systems and internal workflows
- Taking ownership of systems and making them more reliable over time, * Extend and maintain external middleware/ETL (primarily Python or similar scripting) to ingest, transform, and load data into our platform.
- Use SQL + scripting to investigate, audit, and correct data integrity issues; help implement preventative checks and monitoring.
- Support platform administration and troubleshooting (issue triage, vendor coordination, root-cause writeups).
- Build practical internal tools/automations that reduce manual work for ops users.
- Partner with ops and stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate tradeoffs, and deliver iterative improvements.
- Help build creative applications with no-code tools (e.g. Quickbase), * You own meaningful portions of our integrations and can improve reliability without constant supervision.
- You can independently investigate "data looks wrong" issues, identify root cause, and propose fixes and preventative controls.
- Ops users feel supported because issues are triaged, explained clearly, and trends are improved over time.
- You've delivered multiple small tools/automations that reduce recurring manual effort.
Work Style & Culture
We value being client-focused, collaborative, creative, and committed.
This is a pragmatic environment: you'll frequently face evolving requirements, and we'll support you in building clarity and momentum.
Requirements
- Experience owning daily/periodic reconciliation of cash, positions, and transactions across custodians and TAMP platforms, including investigating breaks, determining root cause, and driving them to resolution.
- Professional experience with Python or another scripting language used for automation/integration work.
- SQL fundamentals.
- Experience integrating with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Financial data experience: familiarity with investment data concepts such as holdings/positions, transactions, securities, corporate actions, etc.
- Deep domain knowledge in wealth management/TAMPs/custodians/portfolio accounting.
- Working knowledge of programming best practices: maintainable code, readable structure, basic testing, logging, and version control.
Nice-to-Haves
- Data pipeline experience (file-based feeds, transformations, validation).
- Experience with JavaScript to produce custom PDF/Excel outputs for reporting pipelines.
- Exposure to React/TypeScript.
