Job description

We are looking for a Security Architect specialized in hardware and embedded security to help design and secure advanced electronic systems. The position requires a solid understanding of hardware-level threats and protections, going beyond traditional IT cybersecurity to address physical attacks, tamper resistance, and secure hardware integration.

You'll be reporting to the System Engineering team lead, project teams, and collaborating with colleagues from the operational department.

In this role you will:

  • contribute to the design, security analysis, and accreditation of hardware security architectures, including secure processing elements, root-of-trust components, and anti-tamper protections.
  • You will work at the system level, identifying security requirements and translating them into concrete architectural solutions and ensuring that hardware implementations meet the required security assurance levels.
  • You will collaborate closely with system architects, hardware designers, software teams, and security authorities to ensure that security is built into the system architecture from the earliest design stages through validation and accreditation.

You will be the primary technical authority for our SIGINT satellite payloads, responsible for translating mission parameters into viable, high-performance space architectures. In this role, you will bridge the gap between RF engineering, digital signal processing, orbital mechanics, and satellite bus integration. You'll be reporting to the System Engineering team lead, project teams, and collaborating with colleagues from the operational department.

As a Space System Engineer specializing in SigInt area, your expected key responsibilities will be:

  • System architecture and design: Define both the payloads and the end-to-end system architecture for spaceborne SigInt systems in LEO, MEO, and GEO environments, ensuring optimal assessment and trade-offs (resolution and SW&P(C) to name a few) of subsystem concepts across feasibility and pre-development studies.
  • Requirements engineering and management: Lead the elicitation and flow-down of high-level mission and user requirements into detailed technical subsystem specifications.
  • Payload engineering: Lead the conceptualization and specification of spaceborne RF receiver chains, wideband antennas, and onboard digital signal processing (DSP) units.
  • Geolocation and processing strategy: Architect the system-level approach to signal detection, classification, and high-precision geolocation using techniques such as Time of Arrival (TOA) and Frequency of Arrival (FOA) across multi-satellite constellations.
  • Pre-development phase support & proposal preparation: Provide support for spaceborne SigInt projects from the pre-development phase up to spacecraft integration, working closely with project leaders and business development. Moreover, you will assist in the preparation of proposals and evaluate subcontractor proposals to ensure the feasibility and success of projects.

As a Space System Engineer specializing in the Spacecraft Mission Analysis (SMA) area, your expected key responsibilities will be:

  • Mission scope and objective: Translate customer, stakeholder, and market requirements into clear, verifiable top-level mission objectives and system-level requirements for spaceborne missions.
  • Architecture definition: Define the overarching mission architecture. Determine the optimal types, sizes, and quantities of spacecraft (e.g., a single highly capable flagship vs. a distributed constellation of smaller satellites) required to fulfil the mission scope.
  • Payload determination and integration: Lead technical trade studies to select, define, and size the primary and secondary payloads (e.g., optical imagers, SAR, scientific instruments, or specialized communication nodes) that directly align with the mission's purpose.
  • Concept of operations (ConOps): Develop the end-to-end ConOps, establishing how the space segment, payloads, ground segment, and end-users will interact throughout the mission lifecycle.
  • Mission utility and trade studies: Conduct holistic trade-offs evaluating mission utility, cost, schedule, data latency, and technical risk across various spacecraft bus and payload configurations.
  • Requirements flow-down: Establish the foundational system specifications and allocate requirements to subsystem teams (payload, bus, ground, launch) for Phase A/B development.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain documentation, including analyses, specifications, engineering and technical budgets, test procedures, reports, and design descriptions.

You will be the technical authority defining how spacecrafts talk to Earth and to each other, ensuring high data rates, robust links, and survival in the harsh radiation environment of space.

As a Space System Engineer specializing in the Communication Subsystems (COMS) area, your expected key responsibilities will be:

  • System architecture and design: Define COMS system architecture for spaceborne payloads in LEO, MEO, and GEO environments, ensuring optimal assessment and trade-offs of subsystem concepts across feasibility and pre-development studies up to the critical design review and flight.
  • Requirements engineering and management: Lead the elicitation and flow-down of high-level mission and user requirements into detailed technical subsystem specifications.
  • Technical budgets and trade studies: Develop and maintain complex engineering budgets (link budgets, time-transfer breakdown, etc.) for space-to-ground/ground-to-space and inter-satellite links (ISL). Conduct technical trade-offs for hardware selection, focusing on SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost) optimization.
  • Pre-development phase support & proposal preparation: Provide support for spaceborne COMS projects from the pre-development phase up to spacecraft integration, working closely with project leaders and business development. Each year a number of events are organized to emphasize that it is important to have fun, relax and create a good team spirit., We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the charge in Space projects related to the development and delivery of satellite communication equipment, advanced navigation technology, or other RF technology related projects. In this role, you'll be entrusted with the responsibility of steering an internal team of 5-20 multi-disciplinary and talented engineers. You will also act as the first point of contact towards the customer(s). You will take the lead in managing subcontractors and fine-tuning operational logistics. Your expertise in space project development, coupled with your ability to navigate complex technical landscapes, will ensure that our projects are successful!
