Job description
This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of commercial strategy, energy markets, data analytics, AI and machine learning. You will take ownership of the commercial data ecosystem, lead AI and predictive modelling initiatives, and help shape how data is used to drive business value.
Your role
- Own and evolve the Commercial Data Warehouse and analytics ecosystem.
- Lead the development of Power BI dashboards, reporting and decision-support tools.
- Act as Product Owner for an Azure-based Business Analytics & AI platform.
- Develop and improve machine learning and predictive models, including auction forecasting.
- Identify and deliver innovative AI, automation and advanced analytics use cases.
- Translate commercial and business challenges into scalable, value-driven data solutions.
- Lead data governance, data quality, ownership and documentation initiatives.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Azure data platform, including architecture, security and integration.
- Provide commercial insights and performance analysis to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Work closely with business teams, IT, external technology partners and other experts to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
Are you a commercially minded Data & AI professional looking for a role where your work can directly influence business performance and strategic decision-making?, We are looking for someone with a strong background in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, AI or Machine Learning, ideally gained within energy, utilities, financial services or another data-intensive environment.
You will ideally bring:

Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.

Practical experience developing machine learning and predictive models.

Strong knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.

A solid understanding of data governance, data quality, security and access management.

The ability to bridge the gap between commercial objectives, business strategy and technical delivery.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

A collaborative, pragmatic and results-driven approach.

A Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, AI, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Economics or another quantitative discipline is preferred.

Fluent English is essential.
