The stakes are high: your code will drive efficiency, innovation, and real business value. What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical Java applications and web services.
• Leading the refactoring of legacy systems and contributing to greenfield projects.
• Collaborating closely with technical leads, architects, analysts, and business users to shape architecture and deliver robust solutions.
• Driving full-stack development, with a strong focus on backend (Java, Spring) and solid frontend skills (Angular, HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
• Participating in technical working groups, Scrum ceremonies, and user meetings as needed.
• Ensuring quality through test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, Selenium) and continuous integration (Jenkins, Maven).
• Supporting deployment, technical documentation, evaluation, and reporting using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Mentoring junior developers and integrating seamlessly into a dynamic, evolving team.

• Expert-level Java and Spring Framework
• JPA (Hibernate implementation)
• Spring Security and security patterns
• SOAP and RESTful Web Services
• Spring Batch
• SOA, microservices, CQRS
• Test-driven development: JUnit, Spring, CI, Mockito, Cypress, Selenium
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular
• Build & DevOps: Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Openshift
• Version control: SVN or GIT
• IDEs: Eclipse or IntelliJ
• Quality & deployment: Sonar, JBoss, Tomcat
• Relational databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, O/R mapping
• Ability to read and understand BPMN, UML, and technical documentation
• JIRA, Confluence
• Bonus: Talend, ZK, Oracle, Kafka

• Minimum 5-7 years of full-time professional Java development experience (full-stack preferred; backend with strong frontend affinity accepted)
• Proven experience in multi-system integration and complex environments
• Ownership mindset: proactive, solution-oriented, and customer-focused
• Ability to quickly understand and improve existing codebases
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to mentor junior team members
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous integration

Language Proficiency

• Active knowledge of French or Dutch (understanding, speaking, writing technical documentation, reading)
• Active knowledge of English for written and team communication

• Partial remote: up to 3 days/week homeworking, remainder on-site in Brussels
• Full-time engagement: Monday to Friday
• Eligibility to work in Belgium
