Job description
We're looking for a Senior IT/OT Network Engineer to join a large-scale digital transformation program, where you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and validating secure network connectivity across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies-including SDN, Kubernetes/OpenShift networking, industrial network segmentation, and Wi-Fi 7-while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, reliable, and production-ready infrastructure.
As a Senior Technical Expert, you'll take ownership of network connectivity across enterprise and industrial environments by:
- Designing and implementing secure IT/OT network connectivity.
- Defining, documenting, and validating network flows between applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, routing, trunking, firewall policies, DNS, DHCP, NTP, proxy services, certificates, and TLS.
- Supporting network segmentation, security zoning, and industrial networking requirements.
- Contributing to SDN design, implementation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Supporting Wi-Fi 7 readiness for industrial operations, mobile devices, and shopfloor connectivity.
- Collaborating closely with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and operations teams.
- Troubleshooting complex connectivity issues across wired, wireless, platform, and application layers.
- Producing high-quality technical documentation, network diagrams, flow matrices, and operational runbooks.
- Supporting production readiness, monitoring, knowledge transfer, and operational handover.
We're looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset., You'll contribute to the successful delivery of a modern industrial network by producing:
- Network flow matrices and connectivity validation.
- Technical network designs and architecture recommendations.
- Firewall, routing, DNS, proxy, certificate, and TLS validation.
- SDN implementation support and troubleshooting.
- Wi-Fi 7 readiness assessments and wireless validation criteria.
- Technical documentation, diagrams, operational runbooks, and handover packages.
- Risk assessments and remediation plans to ensure production readiness.
Requirements
Are you a hands-on network expert who enjoys solving complex connectivity challenges in industrial environments?, * Extensive experience in enterprise and/or industrial networking.
- Strong knowledge of IT/OT environments and their security and operational constraints.
- Hands-on expertise with routing, switching, VLANs, trunking, firewall flows, and network segmentation.
- Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, NTP, proxy services, certificates, and TLS.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network connectivity issues.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift networking concepts.
- Experience with or strong exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Strong documentation skills with experience producing technical designs and operational handover material.
Experience in one or more of the following is highly valued:
- Manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Wi-Fi 7 or modern enterprise wireless technologies.
- RF planning, roaming optimization, wireless client connectivity, and coverage validation.
- NAC, IEEE 802.1X, identity management, certificates, or device management solutions.
- OpenShift networking, MetalLB, NMState, or similar technologies.
- Industrial cybersecurity.
- GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, or network automation., * You are a senior engineer who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results. You combine strong technical expertise with a structured approach to problem-solving and communicate effectively with technical teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders.
- You work independently, document your work thoroughly, and thrive in environments where reliability, security, and operational excellence are essential.
