Job description

They are seeking a Data Center IT Engineer to support one of its flagship AI data centres in Hamburg. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge infrastructure powering large-scale AI training, inference, and HPC workloads, while contributing to the organisation's continued expansion across Europe and the US. Working alongside expert engineers, the role offers genuine ownership of a critical technical environment while supporting the infrastructure behind next-generation AI applications.   • Operate and maintain GPU servers, storage platforms, and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.
  • Monitor the health, availability, and performance of production environments.
  • Troubleshoot Linux, hardware, networking, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities.
  • Coordinate hardware replacements, maintenance windows, and vendor activities.
  • Support rack integrations, infrastructure upgrades, and capacity expansion projects.

Requirements

Skills / Must Have

  • Experience within a data centre, cloud, hosting, colocation, HPC, or large-scale infrastructure environment.
  • Experience with racking, stacking, and cabling.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware and storage systems.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, switching, and data centre infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
  • Experience working within operational support, infrastructure engineering, or data centre operations teams.
  • Exposure to NVIDIA GPUs, InfiniBand, RoCEv2, AI infrastructure, or HPC environments would be highly beneficial.
