Job description
- As a Data Solution Engineer within the Store Sales & Finance domain, you will help Jumbo build a future-proof and robust data landscape. Using Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog, PySpark, Python, and Power BI, you will develop data solutions that enable business teams to make better and faster decisions.
- You will join a multidisciplinary scrum team within the Analytics department at the Jumbo Tech Campus. Together with data engineers, analysts, product owners, and scrum masters, you will work on Jumbo's centralized cloud data platform.

With your solutions, business teams will have access to the insights they need to make better decisions. By developing high-quality data pipelines and data products, you will directly contribute to the performance of our stores, financial processes, and the continued growth of a data-driven Jumbo.
- You will work closely with data engineers, data analysts, consultants, product owners, scrum masters, and business stakeholders within Store Sales & Finance. You will also collaborate with other data teams to further develop shared standards, solutions, and best practices., As a Data Solution Engineer, you will design and deliver end-to-end data solutions within the Store Sales & Finance domain. You will process and transform data from multiple sources into reliable data products that support analytics, reporting, and advanced analytics use cases.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable technical solutions. In doing so, you will ensure that data pipelines and data products are automated, well-monitored, and built according to modern DevOps and CI/CD principles.
You will also play an active role in the continued development of Jumbo's Azure data platform. By collaborating with other data teams, sharing knowledge through the Data Guild, and contributing to platform improvements, you will help shape the future of our data landscape. Profile
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to bridge business and technology.
- Experienced in developing robust data pipelines, data solutions, and data products within Azure.
- Familiar with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and the Azure Data Platform.
- Experienced with Python and/or PySpark.
- Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions and Terraform.
- A team player who enjoys working in an agile environment.
- Continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes, data, and technology.
Nice to have
- Azure certifications in Data Engineering.
- Experience with Power BI and self-service analytics.
- Knowledge of data science or machine learning environments.
- Experience within retail, e-commerce, or a large enterprise environment.
- Experience with modern data platform architectures and cloud-native solutions.

- A gross monthly salary between €5,100 and €6,500 based on a 40-hour workweek;
