AWS Java Full-Stack Developer - 1 year | London or Edinburgh(2 Days per week)
We're recruiting for 2x AWS Java Full-Stack Developers to refactor and modernise on-premise Java & Angular applications into AWS cloud-native microservices for a leading UK banking organisation. The role spans application migration, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipeline delivery, supporting Agile teams through production releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Refactor and modernise on-premise Java & Angular applications into AWS cloud-native microservices
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS services such as EKS/ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Support Agile delivery, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production releases
What You Will Ideally Bring
- Strong experience in Java 11+/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API development
- Hands-on expertise in Angular
- Experience with AWS services including EKS/ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins/GitLab, and DevOps practices
- Proven experience in application migration, refactoring, deployment automation, and banking domain projects
Contract Details:
- Duration: 6months
- Rate: £400/day - Inside IR35
- Location: (Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site)
- Start Date: ASAP
