AWS Java Full-Stack Developer - 1 year | London or Edinburgh(2 Days per week)

We're recruiting for 2x AWS Java Full-Stack Developers to refactor and modernise on-premise Java & Angular applications into AWS cloud-native microservices for a leading UK banking organisation. The role spans application migration, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipeline delivery, supporting Agile teams through production releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refactor and modernise on-premise Java & Angular applications into AWS cloud-native microservices
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS services such as EKS/ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Support Agile delivery, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production releases

What You Will Ideally Bring

  • Strong experience in Java 11+/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API development
  • Hands-on expertise in Angular
  • Experience with AWS services including EKS/ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins/GitLab, and DevOps practices
  • Proven experience in application migration, refactoring, deployment automation, and banking domain projects

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6months
  • Rate: £400/day - Inside IR35
  • Location: (Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site)
  • Start Date: ASAP
