Job description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer to join a growing digital consultancy delivering transformative digital solutions for a range of Public and Private sector clients. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you'll design, build and deliver scalable digital services that solve complex business challenges. As a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer, you'll combine hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, mentoring engineers while delivering high-quality, user-centred solutions across the full development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities as a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer

  • Lead the development of user-centred software solutions.
  • Design, build and maintain scalable applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver digital services for clients.
  • Take ownership of development and deployment pipelines.
  • Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, promoting technical best practice.
  • Present solutions and technical progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with Kotlin, Java and the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework and microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js or Nunjucks.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience delivering scalable, high-quality digital solutions.

Desirable Experience

  • Consultancy, Government or NHS project experience.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
  • Knowledge of Helm.
