Job description

Duties: Assist in the development, production support, and life cycle management for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Partner with business clients, IT Business Partners, and other IT functions to deliver digital capabilities. Collaborate with teams to define business requirements, provide project timelines, and develop acceptance criteria for testing. Translate development plans into actionable projects, including releases, modifications, and discretionary enhancements to support the application life cycle. Conduct releases from design and deployment to production run. Coordinate with operations team to deploy applications to various environments. Integrate new technologies and methodologies into the development pipeline. Focus on the automation of processes and the improvement of system reliability and scalability. Ensure that applications comply with all relevant regulations and best practices, while also driving improvements in operational processes and performance monitoring. Support the seamless deployment and maintenance of solutions across environments. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week., Eligibility Disclosure:* The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.

Requirements

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Science or a related field, and five (5) years of related work experience in a Computer Systems Analyst or related occupation. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, the employer will accept seven (7) years of related work experience.

Must have five (5) years of experience in the following skills (which may be gained concurrently):

*Developing and testing applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, Servlets, EJB, JSON, XML, JMS, Java Mail, DOM/SAX, SOAP Web Services, or RESTful Web Services;

*Implementing applications with frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, AngularJS, React, and Python;

*Leveraging cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform;

*Configuring Continue Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines;

*Relationship database services including Oracle, SQL server and PostgreSQL;

*NoSQL databases including MongoDB, HBase, and Cassandra;

*Utilizing SAS technology and GitHub to develop datasets for advanced analytics and business reporting;

*Applying Agile methodologies and JIRA;

*Scrum and sprint planning; and

*Documenting project artifacts including System Requirement Specification (SRS), Functional Specifications (FS), Detailed Design Specifications (DDS), System Traceability Matrix (STM)
