Job description
DUTIES: Design, develop, and modify highly specialized computer applications to drive user efficiency. Ensure applications meet demanding standards for privacy and security as required by strict internal policies and industry-specific regulations. Create efficient, high-performance enhancements to these applications, enhancements that address and achieve specific customer goals. Design, develop, and implement new technology features that build on existing functionality, including but not limited to integrating with new Cloud technology. Ensure compliance with software development life cycle protocols and ensure project priorities are recorded and satisfied according to those protocols, raising any risk factors to the appropriate project management team. Constantly improve functionality, reliability, testability, availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of applications. Adhere to version control, release management, and deployment protocols to distribute new functionality to the
user base. Ensure these proprietary applications satisfy rigorous internally defined technical requirements for performance, resiliency, availability and scalability. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation., * Java, JavaScript, Python, and Shell;
- Frameworks & Tools: Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Thymeleaf, Angular 8+, Apache Spark or Camel;
- Cloud & DevOps: Azure, AWS (EC2, S3, VPC), and Docker;
- Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, and JPaC;
- Databases: Oracle and MySQL;
- CI/CD & SCM: Jenkins, Maven, Git, or GitHub; and
- Kafka, REST APIs, JIRA, Rally, JUnit or Mockito.
